good girls, bad ends
unmasking myths with art and writing
be part of our upcoming anthology!
Do you love myths, but hate how women are represented in them? Do you have an Asian fairytale in mind that could use a retelling? Are you an Asian artist or a writer? Well - you’re in the right place.
Atelier Arcadia is looking for contributors to join us for our upcoming anthology of art and written works — “good girls, bad ends.” This will be a collection of art and poetry/microfiction, retelling the stories of women featured in myths and legends from the Asian region.
We plan to release this anthology in digital form, and distribute softcover copies of it via a limited print run.
We require contributors to commit to submitting work by the final deadline of January 15, 2023, to meet our publishing deadline, which is currently slated for Q1 2023.
If you’d like to submit an idea/proposal to be considered for the anthology, click on the link here and let us know what you have in mind! (p.s. poems should not exceed 35 lines, and microfiction/short prose should not be more than 1,500 words in length.)
For this open call, we will prioritise proposals submitted by cis female, nonbinary, and trans creators, though you need not disclose this information privately or publicly if you do not wish to.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop us a message at hey@atelierarcadia.com.
