OPEN CALLS & ZINES

Atelier Arcadia launches open calls for creative work and submissions from artists and writers alike are welcome! Arcadia hopes to work collaboratively with contributing creators as much as possible, to make sure every anthology we produce is a cohesive body of work that we can all be proud to include in our portfolios.

Our most recent open call, “Good Girls Bad Ends,” culminated in a 112-page anthology that is up for preorder on our webstore now.

Our collective is now running two open calls, both of which are welcoming submissions:

  • “what we burn for,” a collaboration with Writing the City.

    • Call for first drafts closes June 22, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8).

  • “bad boys, good ends,” the companion collection to “Good Girls Bad Ends.”

    • Call for proposals closes August 31, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8).

Interpret the theme of each open call however you wish, and share your ideas with us!

creative COLLABorations

We have worked with friends and colleagues in China and Hong Kong SAR, Korea, Japan, and the U.K. on many projects in the past, from music to short films and writing zines. We are continuing this cross-cultural exchange through ongoing and upcoming projects.

What this means is that every piece of work we put out will be well-researched and inclusive, taking into consideration the rich history, culture, and creative landscape of the location or nation that the work is inspired by or based off.

As such, despite being geographically based in Asia, we would love to work with creatives from outside the region on several projects - that we will list on this site in time to come.
